- Pollution Control: Proper waste disposal (manure, dead birds) is crucial. Avoid contamination of water sources. Composting can be a viable option for manure management.
- Vaccination Schedule: Follow a vet-prescribed vaccination schedule (e.g., Marek's, Gumboro, Newcastle Disease). Maintain records.
- Biosecurity: Implement strict biosecurity measures:
- Limit visitor access.
- Use footbaths with disinfectant.
- Ensure an "all-in, all-out" system for batches.
- Regular cleaning and disinfection of the shed and equipment between batches.
